Users on ValuSoft Arcade can be free, trial, or paid members. ZEMNOTT created a user management system that will allow users to sign up for the site and receive a free trial membership. These trial memberships can be set to any length of time. Once a trial membership expires the user will become a free member. Users who choose to pay for the site will receive paid member status. These paid memberships can be purchased online via credit card, PayPal, or Money Order. These memberships can be set to automatically renew when they expire and a user’s credit card will be automatically charged at the time of renewal. Gift subscriptions can also be purchased and sent to friends and family.
ValuSoft Arcade users can join game rooms and chat with each other. ZEMNOTT created both the chat client and chat servers. ZEMNOTT’s chat servers can handle tens of thousands of connections and will load balance across server hardware. It is a completely distributed system. The client will display messages from the system and other users. The chat client also handles emoticons, and allows you see profiles of other users in the chat room with you.
Private rooms can also be created by users. These private rooms allow a user to host a game play event. A user can restrict access to the room to everyone on the site, just their pals, or just the host. When another player want to join a private room an alert is given to the host and the host can either allow them to join the room, or deny them access.
The ValuSoft Arcade game launcher will place users in a chat room and, if it is a multi-player game, seat them at a table to pair up with a competitor. ZEMNOTT created the game launcher not only to launch the game and chat client, but to also display ads as necessary. The launcher will handle Dottery Ball requests from games and also handle Cheat/Auto bot detection. The launcher is the heart of the game system.
Multi-user games are available on ValuSoft Arcade. ZEMNOTT created a multi-user game server to allow games from 2 player to massive multi-player games. The multi user game servers are similar to the chat servers and are load balanced to handle tens of thousands of connections per server. Game developers can use the Multi-user game API developed by ZEMNOTT to create multi-user games for ValuSoft Arcade.
Multi-user games are both cooperative and competitive. The massive multi player games like SlingDottery and SlingChing Bingo are corporative and are a major part of the community building aspects of the site.
Each game on ValuSoft Arcadehas a unique rank ladder. This allows other users to see who is a novice at a game and who is a master. When a user achieves a Master rank in a game, they are rewarded with a Stamp. Ranks are displayed next to a user’s name in the chat rooms. ZEMNOTT built the ranking system to be unique for each game so that users could easily determine the skill level of a particular player in each game. These ranks are assigned to a custom game statistic.
ZEMNOTT developed a rewards system for users of ValuSoft Arcade called “Dots.” Dots are earned by primarily by playing games. Dots are the currency of ValuSoft Arcade and are used to enter drawings for prizes, buy power-ups in games, and buy pets and pet accessories. ZEMNOTT created an API to allow external developers to “hook” their online games into ValuSoft Arcade’s systems and give out Dot rewards or withdraw dots for power-ups and gambling games. This API is secure and will detect and thwart hackers. ZEMNOTT also created an API for THQ Wireless to allow THQ’s mobile games to create accounts and post Dots to ValuSoft Arcade.
ValuSoft Arcade has cash drawings and prize rewards for users. ZEMNOTT designed and implemented a prize and drawing system for ValuSoft Arcade. Prizes on ValuSoft Arcade can be physical products, gift subscriptions, or cash awards. The prize system is attached to daily, weekly, and monthly drawings. You can also earn prizes via ValuSoft Arcade’s Dottery Ball system that is fired by games as a special bonus. Prizes are also used as rewards for the ValuSoft Arcade referral system and the Tournament system.
Part of the social networking of ValuSoft Arcade is the Pals and Referral systems. ZEMNOTT developed the Pals system to allow a user on ValuSoft Arcade to invite another user to be their Pal. The Pal system allows a user to see if their pals are currently playing on ValuSoft Arcade and what game room they are playing in. They can also look at their pals stats, and pets, and user bio information.
ValuSoft Arcade users can also invite new users to the site. Using the ValuSoft Arcade referral system, and user can send out an email to a friend and invite them to join ValuSoft Arcade. Users are rewarded with a prize for every three new users who sign up and purchase something on ValuSoft Arcade.
Players on ValuSoft Arcade can participate in Quests. Quests are game challenges that users must accomplish in order to earn a Stamp. Stamps are then added to a user’s stamp book as rewards for completing Quests, Ranks, and Tournaments. Stamps can also be used as an icon next to your user name in the chat rooms. Stamps can be animated. ZEMNOTT built the Quest system to use custom game statistics so a quest might only require one step for completion, or it might require multiple steps to complete, even multiple steps in multiple games. Quests can also be exclusive, meaning they are only open for a brief period of time, or limited, meaning that only first 100 users to complete the quest receive the stamp.
ZEMNOTT created an online avatar system for users of ValuSoft Arcade that allows them to choose a pet to be displayed in their game window. These pets change their emotion based on a ValuSoft Arcade a user’s game play habits. Pets get happier the more games played and sadder the less time spent on the site. The pets are animated and have different backgrounds and accessories like hats, jewelry, and toys. The system also allows you to create your own pet by mixing and matching different pet body parts to create unique animals never before seen! You could have the head of a cat, on a dog’s body, with a dragon tail, and penguin feet! This was a key part of the strategy to get people to come back to the site every day and spend significant time on the site. The pet feature not only helps convert user to paid subscriptions, but it helped build the advertising revenues by driving quality traffic to the site.
ZEMNOTT created a full tournament system for ValuSoft Arcade. These tournaments can be set up so that the user with the best score out of all of the entrants will win, or they can be configured as a bracketed tournament where users are seeded and play against each other until all but one are eliminated. These tournaments can be attached to a specific game or series of games similar to the Quest system. The system allows time/date windows for the entry period, as well as for the tournament itself, to be set in advance and to initiate automatically. Winners are rewarded with a Stamp, Dots, or a prize depending on how the Tournament was configured. Tournaments are another major component in the social networking power of ValuSoft Arcade.
Free and Trial users on ValuSoft Arcade see advertising. Advertising is a key revenue source for the site. ZEMNOTT created a sophisticated advertising system for ValuSoft Arcade that allows administrators to create ad campaigns that run at various times and are displayed in various locations on the site. These can be targeted to a specific game, page, or the entire site. They can also target specific types of users based on a user’s profile, age, sex, location, and membership status. The system can handle content delivered by outside advertising servers, or can be uploaded directly to the ValuSoft Arcade servers. The system tracks numerous demographic, views, and clicks information and will generate reports used for invoicing and ad success. The ad system supports various ad media and conforms to industry ad size and serving methods.
ZEMNOTT built in maintenance and monitoring functions to ValuSoft Arcade to make sure the system would be fault tolerant and never crash. The system is set up to run on multiple redundant servers. It has monitoring functions that will alert staff when there are problems or abnormalities. The systems on ValuSoft Arcade were developed to be scalable from a few hundred players to hundreds of thousands of simultaneous players.

Public Radio International
Public Radio International had a legacy system that ran their entire business, including contact management, billing, and sales. ZEMNOTT, in a long-term relationship with PRI, has created an intranet site that is easy to use and provides information specific to the individual user’s needs, whether it be a salesperson, an accountant, or a customer service representative.
ZEMNOTT has worked closely with each individual section inside PRI to assess user needs to establish how they work with data, how they enter it, retrieve it, and report it back to their customers and clients.
